Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies that Tactical Eleven, operated by Vortex Games, uses. Today the game sets only strictly necessary cookies. We keep this page accurate, so if that ever changes this policy and the consent banner will be updated first.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. "Similar technologies" include browser local storage, which works in a comparable way. Strictly necessary cookies are the ones a site cannot work without, such as those that keep you signed in and protect forms from cross-site request forgery. Under EU and UK law, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, but non-essential cookies (such as analytics or advertising) do.
What we use today
We currently use only strictly necessary cookies, plus one local-storage item that remembers your cookie choice. We do not use any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not load third-party trackers.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| tactical-eleven-session | Strictly necessary cookie | Keeps you signed in and holds your session. | 120 minutes |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Strictly necessary cookie | Protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). | Session |
| te_cookie_consent | Strictly necessary (local storage) | Remembers your choice on the cookie banner so it is not shown again. | Until cleared |
Note: the consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, but it is listed here for transparency. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
The consent banner
Because we set only strictly necessary cookies today, the game works the same whichever option you pick on the banner. The banner offers "Accept all", "Reject non-essential" and "Essential only": essential cookies are always used because the game needs them, and your choice governs any non-essential cookies we may add in future. If we ever introduce analytics or advertising cookies, we will not set them unless and until you have agreed, and we will list them in the table above.
How to control cookies in your browser
You can view, block and delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings, usually under a "Privacy" or "Cookies and site data" section. You can also browse in a private or incognito window. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in and playing, because the game relies on them. Guidance is available in the help pages of your browser (for example Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge).
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever our use of cookies or similar technologies changes, and we will revise the effective date above.
